Back up any important data from your Apple devices
Sign out of iCloud on all devices connected to the account
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings
Tap your name
Scroll down and tap Sign Out
Enter your Apple ID password if prompted
Choose whether to keep a copy of data on the device
On Mac, open System Settings or System Preferences
Click your Apple ID
Click Sign Out
Remove the device from your Apple ID account page if needed
Go to appleid.apple.com
Sign in with the Apple ID
Open the Devices section
Remove any trusted devices if needed
If you want to delete the Apple ID permanently, go to privacy.apple.com
Sign in with the Apple ID
Select Request to delete your account
Follow the on-screen steps
Save the access code provided by Apple
Confirm the deletion request when prompted
Wait for Apple to process the account deletion request
