Open Instagram
Tap the Messages icon
Open the chat you want to delete
Tap the chat name or info icon
Select Delete chat
Confirm Delete
To delete a single message you sent
Open the chat
Tap and hold the message
Select Unsend
To clear a chat from your inbox
Swipe left on the chat
Tap Delete
To delete multiple chats
Go to Messages
Tap and hold a chat
Select Delete
Repeat for other chats
