Open Gmail
Sign in to your account
Open the email you want to delete
Click the trash can icon
To delete multiple emails, select the checkboxes next to the emails
Click the trash can icon
To delete all emails in a folder, click the checkbox at the top to select all
Click the trash can icon
To permanently remove deleted emails, open the Trash folder
Click Empty Trash now
On mobile, open the Gmail app
Open the email you want to delete
Tap the trash can icon
To delete multiple emails on mobile, press and hold an email
Select more emails
Tap the trash can icon
