Sign in to your Google Account
Go to Data & privacy
Scroll to “Data from apps and services you use”
Select “Delete a Google service”
Sign in again if prompted
Find Gmail and select the delete option
Enter an email address to use for other Google services
Follow the on-screen verification steps
Confirm the deletion of Gmail
Check your alternate email for any follow-up messages from Google
