Open Facebook and go to the post, photo, or comment with the tag
Click the three dots or options menu
Select Edit post, Edit photo, or View options if available
Find the tagged name
Click the X or remove option next to the tag
Save changes if prompted
To remove a tag from your profile, open Activity Log
Go to Posts and tags
Find the tagged post
Click the options menu
Select Remove tag
Confirm the removal
To stop future tags, go to Settings and privacy
Open Profile and tagging
Adjust tag review and tagging settings
