Turn off and unplug the Keurig
Remove the water filter if installed
Empty the water reservoir
Fill the reservoir with descaling solution or a mix of equal parts white vinegar and water
Place a large mug on the drip tray
Run a brew cycle without a K-Cup
Discard the hot liquid
Repeat brew cycles until the reservoir is empty
Let the machine sit for 30 minutes
Rinse the reservoir thoroughly
Fill the reservoir with fresh water
Run multiple rinse cycles with no K-Cup until the water runs clear and the vinegar or descaling solution is gone
Wipe the exterior and drip tray
Reinstall the water filter if removed
Plug the machine back in and use normally
