Open the network settings or adapter settings on your device
Select the active network adapter or connection
Open the adapter properties or advanced settings
Uncheck or disable Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
Save the changes
Restart the network adapter or reboot the device if required
On Windows, use the adapter properties in Network Connections
On macOS, disable IPv6 in the network service’s TCP/IP settings
On Linux, disable IPv6 through sysctl or network manager settings
On routers, disable IPv6 in the WAN or LAN IPv6 settings
On servers, apply the change to each relevant network interface
Verify IPv6 is disabled using network status or command-line tools
