Sign in to your YouTube account
Open YouTube and scroll to the bottom of the page
Click Restricted Mode: On
Select Restricted Mode: Off
Save changes (if prompted)
If using a browser: clear cookies/cache for youtube.com and try again
If on a mobile device: open YouTube app and go to Settings
Tap General
Toggle Restricted Mode off
If Restricted Mode is controlled by a network or device profile: change the settings on the network/device (e.g., school/work Wi‑Fi, parental controls, router settings)
If you’re using YouTube Kids: open the app’s settings and disable the restriction there (if available)
If it still won’t turn off: try a different browser/device and verify you’re signed into the correct account
