Check your keyboard for a Fn Lock key or Fn key lock shortcut
Press Fn + Esc to toggle Fn Lock on many keyboards
Try Fn + Caps Lock if your keyboard uses that shortcut
Open your laptop BIOS or UEFI settings
Find the Function Key Behavior or Action Keys Mode setting
Change the setting to disable special function behavior or enable standard F1 to F12 keys
Save changes and restart your computer
Use your manufacturer’s keyboard utility or control app if available
In Windows, check the keyboard settings in the manufacturer software
On macOS, go to Keyboard settings and enable standard function keys if available
If needed, remap the key using keyboard software or system settings
