Choose a unique, repeatable trigger such as a touch, word, gesture, sound, or image

Recall or create a strong experience that fully contains the desired state

Intensify the experience until the feeling is vivid and clear

Apply the chosen trigger at the peak of the desired state

Release the trigger after a few seconds

Repeat the same trigger with the same state several times

Test the trigger by using it later in a neutral state

Strengthen the anchor if the response is weak or inconsistent

Keep the trigger simple, consistent, and specific

Use the anchor only for the intended state

Rehearse the anchor regularly to maintain its effect
