Open WhatsApp
Go to the Status tab
View the status you want to download
Use your phone’s file manager to open the WhatsApp media folder
On Android, check the folder named WhatsApp/Media/.Statuses
Copy the status file you want to save
Paste it into another folder on your device
On iPhone, use screen recording or screenshots to save the status
Use a third-party status saver app if needed
Make sure you have permission before saving someone else’s status
