Draw a straight vertical trunk.
Add a few short, slanted branch lines from the trunk.
Sketch a triangular or conical outline for the tree shape.
Draw layered, horizontal clusters of pine needles along the branches.
Make the lower branches longer and the upper branches shorter.
Add pointed needle-like strokes around each branch cluster.
Keep the top narrow and the bottom wider.
Darken the trunk and main branches.
Erase any extra guide lines.
Add ground or a few fallen needles if desired.
