Hold the Wii Remote sideways or use your preferred controller
Accelerate normally
Press and hold the drift button while turning
Keep holding the turn direction as you enter the corner
Adjust the steering to maintain the drift angle
Watch for sparks building under your kart or bike
Release the drift button to exit the drift and get a mini-turbo boost
Time the drift early before sharp turns
Use inside lines to stay close to the track
Practice on easier tracks first to learn the timing
