Back up any save data you want to keep
Power on the Nintendo Switch
Open System Settings
Scroll down and select System
Scroll down and select Formatting Options
Select Initialize Console
Read the warning message
Select Next
Select Initialize
Wait for the reset to complete
Set up the console again after it restarts
