Use Spotlight Search: press Command + Space, type the file name, and open the result
Use Finder search: open Finder, click the search bar, and type the file name
Search within a folder: open the folder in Finder, then use the search bar to look only in that location
Use Smart Folders: in Finder, choose File > New Smart Folder, then set search criteria
Search by file type: in Finder search, add a filter such as Kind is PDF or Kind is Image
Search by date: in Finder search, add filters like Created Date or Last Modified Date
Search by content: type a word or phrase from inside the file in Spotlight or Finder
Use Terminal: run find or locate commands to search for files by name
Check Recent items: use the Apple menu or Finder’s Recents view
Use iCloud Drive search: open iCloud Drive in Finder and search there if the file is synced
Use tags and saved searches: search by Finder tags or save a search for later use
