Add all earnings received before any deductions
Use the formula: Gross Salary = Basic Pay + HRA + DA + Conveyance Allowance + Special Allowance + Bonus + Overtime + Commission + Other taxable earnings
Check the salary slip for all pre-deduction components
Do not subtract tax, provident fund, insurance, or other deductions
If annual gross salary is needed, multiply monthly gross salary by 12
If net salary is known, add back all deductions to estimate gross salary
