Look for tiny pinholes, unusual reflections, or lenses facing beds, bathrooms, changing areas, or desks
Check for unfamiliar wires, extra power sources, or devices that should not need a camera
Turn off the lights and use a flashlight to scan surfaces for lens reflections
Use your phone camera to look for infrared LEDs in dark areas
Scan the room with a radio frequency detector or hidden camera detector
Check Wi-Fi connected devices and router admin pages for unknown cameras or suspicious devices
Look for unusual heat from electronic objects using a hand or thermal camera
Compare objects in the room with normal versions to spot altered or modified items
Examine mirrors for two-way mirror signs by checking for gaps, reflections, or odd mounting
Listen for faint clicking, buzzing, or motor sounds from hidden devices
Inspect vents, ceiling corners, shelves, plants, and stuffed items for embedded lenses
If you find a suspicious device, do not tamper with it; document it and contact property management or law enforcement
