On Windows, open Command Prompt and type `ipconfig`
Look for the IPv4 Address under your active network adapter
On Mac, open System Settings > Network
Select your active connection and view the IP address
On Linux, open Terminal and type `ip addr` or `ifconfig`
Look for the IP address under your active network interface
To find your public IP address, open a web browser and search `what is my IP`
To find your local IP address on a laptop, check the network settings for the connected Wi-Fi or Ethernet network
