Compare corresponding side lengths
Divide an image side length by the matching original side length
Use the same pair of corresponding sides for consistency
Write the scale factor as a ratio or simplified fraction
If the image is larger, the scale factor is greater than 1
If the image is smaller, the scale factor is between 0 and 1
Check that all corresponding sides give the same ratio
