Open Microsoft Word
Go to File
Select Info
Click Manage Document or Manage Workbook
Choose Recover Unsaved Documents
Browse the list of unsaved files
Open the file you want
Save it immediately with Save As
Check the AutoRecover file location in Word settings
Search your computer for files with the .asd extension
Search for temporary Word files with the .tmp extension
Look in the UnsavedFiles folder on your computer
Check the Recent Documents list in Word
Look in the Recycle Bin if the file was deleted
Use Windows File Explorer search for the document name or file type
Check OneDrive or other cloud backups if enabled
