Open Google Drive in a web browser or the Google Drive app
Sign in with the Google account used for WhatsApp backup
Tap or click the gear icon for Settings
Open Settings and go to Manage Apps
Look for WhatsApp Messenger in the list of connected apps
Check the app data or hidden app data section for WhatsApp backup information
On Android, open Google Drive and go to Backups
Find the WhatsApp backup listed under device backups
Verify the backup account matches the one used in WhatsApp
Check the backup date and size to confirm it is the correct WhatsApp backup
Use the same Google account in WhatsApp when restoring the backup
