Check that the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the PS5 and the TV or monitor
Try a different HDMI cable
Use the HDMI cable that came with the PS5 if available
Test a different HDMI port on the TV or monitor
Power off the PS5 completely and unplug it for a few minutes
Restart the TV or monitor
Restart the PS5 in Safe Mode
Select Change Video Output in Safe Mode
Set the resolution to Automatic or a lower resolution
Turn off HDR if the display does not support it properly
Turn off 120Hz output if the display is incompatible
Disable HDCP if needed for testing
Check the TV or monitor input source is set correctly
Update the PS5 system software
Update the TV or monitor firmware if available
Try the PS5 on another TV or monitor
Inspect the PS5 HDMI port for bent pins, dust, or damage
Clean the HDMI port gently with compressed air
Avoid forcing the HDMI cable into the port
Remove any HDMI switch, splitter, or receiver from the setup
Connect the PS5 directly to the display
Try a different power outlet
Rebuild the PS5 database in Safe Mode
Reset PS5 video settings in Safe Mode
Initialize the PS5 if software corruption is suspected
Contact PlayStation Support if the HDMI port appears damaged
Seek professional repair if the HDMI port is loose or broken
