Check and reseat the display cable (HDMI/DisplayPort/VGA) on both ends
Try a different compatible cable
Test with a different monitor/TV (or connect the current display to another device)
Update GPU drivers to the latest version (or roll back if flickering started after an update)
Update monitor firmware (if available)
Change display refresh rate to a stable value (e.g., 60 Hz or the monitor’s native rate)
Change resolution to the monitor’s native resolution
Disable adaptive sync features (G-Sync/FreeSync/VRR) and retest
Disable HDR (if enabled) and retest
Turn off “hardware acceleration” in the affected app/browser and retest
Close and restart the affected app/browser; test in a different browser/app
Check for loose internal connections (desktop/laptop display cable)
Run Windows “Display” troubleshooters (or equivalent OS display diagnostics)
Scan for malware and run system file repair (SFC/DISM on Windows)
Check power settings and disable any aggressive power-saving display options
If using a docking station or adapter, remove it and connect directly; or try a different dock/adapter
Test in Safe Mode to determine if a driver/background app is causing it
Replace the monitor or GPU if the issue persists across devices/cables and after driver updates
Contact support/service if flickering continues after all software/cable checks
