Restart your computer
Check for pending Windows updates and install them
Run Windows Update troubleshooter
Undo recent system changes:
Open Settings
Go to System
Select About
Open Advanced system settings
Choose System Protection
Select System Restore
Pick a restore point and confirm
Roll back a problematic driver:
Open Device Manager
Find the device category
Right-click the device
Select Properties
Go to the Driver tab
Choose Roll Back Driver (if available)
Uninstall recently installed updates:
Open Settings
Go to Windows Update
Select Update history
Choose Uninstall updates
Remove the most recent update(s)
Use Safe Mode:
Open Settings
Go to System
Select Recovery
Under Advanced startup, choose Restart now
Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart
Choose Safe Mode
Run System File Checker and DISM:
Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Run: sfc /scannow
Run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Check disk health:
Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Run: chkdsk /f /r
Perform a clean boot:
Open System Configuration (msconfig)
Disable Startup items
Disable non-Microsoft services
Restart and test
Check for malware:
Run Windows Security full scan
Remove detected threats
If recovery options fail, use Reset this PC (keep or remove files as needed):
Open Settings
Go to System
Select Recovery
Choose Reset this PC
