How To Floss?

Use about 18–24 inches of floss.

Wind most of the floss around one middle finger, and the rest around the other middle finger.

Hold the floss tightly between thumbs and forefingers.

Slide the floss gently between teeth using a back-and-forth motion.

Curve the floss into a C-shape against one tooth.

Move the floss up and down along the side of the tooth, making sure to go just below the gumline.

Repeat on the other side of the same two teeth.

Use a clean section of floss for each tooth gap.

Floss all teeth, including the back molars.

Floss at least once a day, ideally before brushing or at a different consistent time.

If flossing is difficult, use floss picks, interdental brushes, or water flossers as appropriate.
