Press and hold the power button until the Mac turns off
Press and hold Touch ID on MacBook models with Touch ID until it shuts down
Press and hold Control + Command + Power button until the Mac powers off
Press and hold Control + Option + Command + Power button until the Mac shuts down
If the screen is frozen, wait a few seconds after holding the power button before releasing
If the Mac still does not shut down, unplug the power adapter on a desktop Mac after powering off
If using a MacBook with a non-removable battery and it remains unresponsive, keep holding the power button until it turns off
