How To Frame A Jersey?

Gather the jersey, frame, mat board, backing board, glass or acrylic, mounting pins or stitching thread, and a frame large enough to fit the jersey

Wash and dry your hands before handling the jersey

Lay the jersey flat and decide how you want it positioned

Iron or steam the jersey if needed, using low heat and a protective cloth

Cut the mat board and backing board to size if required

Place the jersey on the backing board and adjust it until centered and straight

Secure the jersey with acid-free pins, stitching, or archival mounting strips

Avoid using tape directly on the fabric

Place the mounted jersey behind the mat and glass or acrylic

Fit everything into the frame

Seal the frame and secure the backing

Add hanging hardware to the back of the frame

Hang the framed jersey away from direct sunlight and moisture
