Open the Excel worksheet
Select the cell below the row you want to freeze (for freezing top rows) or to the right of the column you want to freeze (for freezing left columns)
Go to the View tab
Click Freeze Panes
Choose one of the following:
Freeze Panes (freezes the selected row/column position)
Freeze Top Row (freezes only the top row)
Freeze First Column (freezes only the first column)
To unfreeze, go to the View tab
Click Freeze Panes
Select Unfreeze Panes
