Open McAfee and turn off any active protection features
Sign in to your McAfee account if required
Download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool from the official McAfee website
Close all open programs
Run the McAfee removal tool as administrator
Follow the prompts to complete the removal
Restart your computer when prompted
Open Windows Settings
Go to Apps
Find all McAfee-related apps
Uninstall each McAfee app one by one
Restart your computer again
Open File Explorer
Delete any remaining McAfee folders in Program Files and Program Files (x86)
Delete any remaining McAfee folders in AppData if present
Open Task Manager
End any McAfee-related processes if still running
Open Services
Stop and disable any McAfee-related services if they remain
Open Registry Editor only if you are comfortable doing so
Remove leftover McAfee registry entries only if necessary
Restart your computer one final time
Run a full antivirus scan with another security product if desired
