Go to the Google Cloud Console
Sign in with your Google account
Create a new project or select an existing project
Enable billing for the project
Open the API Library
Enable the required Google Maps APIs
Go to APIs & Services
Open Credentials
Click Create Credentials
Select API key
Copy the generated API key
Restrict the API key by application and API if needed
Save the changes
