Select the tax year you need
Choose “Tax Records”
Download the tax return transcript or account transcript
Use the IRS “Get Transcript Online” tool if you do not have an Online Account
Verify your identity through the IRS security process
Request a transcript by mail if online access is not available
Use tax software or your tax preparer’s portal if you filed through them
Check your state tax agency website for a state return copy
Contact the IRS by phone if you need help accessing your records
