Search your computer for the file name
Check Recent Documents in Word
Look in OneDrive or other cloud backups
Restore from File History or backup
Check temporary files
Use Windows search for .doc and .docx files
Check email attachments or shared folders
Use a file recovery tool if the document was deleted
Contact your IT department if it is a work document
