Open Snapchat
Tap your profile icon
Tap the gear icon to open Settings
Scroll to App Appearance
Select Always Dark
If App Appearance is not available, enable Dark Mode in your phone settings
On iPhone, go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Dark
On Android, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme
Restart Snapchat if the background does not change immediately
