Let the wax harden completely
Scrape off excess wax with a dull knife or credit card
Place the fabric between paper towels or brown paper bags
Press with a warm iron on low heat to transfer wax to the paper
Replace the paper and repeat until no more wax transfers
Apply a small amount of liquid dish soap to any remaining stain
Gently rub the fabric together or use a soft brush
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Check the stain before drying
Repeat the process if any wax remains
For delicate fabrics, use a hair dryer on low heat instead of an iron
For colored wax, treat any dye stain with stain remover before washing
