How To Get Ear Wax Out?

Let earwax come out on its own if it is not causing symptoms

Wipe the outer ear with a damp cloth

Use a few drops of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or over-the-counter earwax drops to soften wax

Tilt your head and let the drops sit for a few minutes

Use warm water to gently rinse the ear with a bulb syringe after softening the wax

Dry the outer ear afterward

Repeat for a few days if needed

Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or worsening hearing

Do not use cotton swabs, hairpins, or other objects inside the ear

See a doctor if the wax is impacted, symptoms are severe, or you have ear pain, drainage, fever, or a history of ear surgery or a perforated eardrum
