Connect the iPhone to a computer with a USB cable
Open Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows/older macOS
Select the iPhone when it appears
Choose Update to reinstall iOS without erasing data
If Update fails, choose Restore to erase and reinstall iOS
Wait for the process to finish and keep the iPhone connected
If the iPhone restarts normally, disconnect it
If it stays in recovery mode, force restart the iPhone
If recovery mode returns, repeat the update or restore process
If needed, use a third-party iOS repair tool
Contact Apple Support if the iPhone still will not exit recovery mode
