Blot up any wet polish immediately with paper towels; do not rub
Scrape off any dried polish gently with a dull knife or spoon
Test the cleaner on a hidden carpet area first
Apply a small amount of non-acetone nail polish remover to a clean white cloth
Dab the stain from the outside toward the center
Switch to a fresh cloth as the polish transfers
Repeat until no more color lifts
Blot the area with a cloth dampened with cold water
Mix a few drops of dish soap with warm water
Blot the area with the soapy solution
Rinse by blotting with clean water
Blot dry with a towel
Sprinkle baking soda on the area after it is mostly dry
Vacuum once fully dry
