Stay calm and keep your distance
Do not swat at the bees
Keep children and pets indoors
Close nearby doors and windows
Turn off outdoor lights if they are attracting bees
Remove food, drinks, and trash from the area
Avoid sweet-smelling sprays or perfumes outside
Identify whether it is a small swarm or an active hive
If it is a swarm, leave it alone and wait for it to move on
If it is a hive, contact a local beekeeper or pest control professional
If bees are entering a wall, roof, or ground opening, seal the area only after the bees are gone
Use a gentle water spray only if needed to encourage them to move away
Wear protective clothing if you must go near them
Keep all people and animals away from the area
Call emergency services if anyone has a severe allergic reaction
Do not use fire, smoke, or insecticides near the bees
