How To Get Rid Of Swimmer’s Ear At Home?

Tilt your head to let water drain out

Gently dry the outer ear with a towel

Use a hair dryer on the lowest, coolest setting from a safe distance

Keep the ear dry until it heals

Avoid swimming and avoid getting water in the ear

Do not put cotton swabs, fingers, or other objects in the ear

Use over-the-counter pain relievers as directed on the label

Try over-the-counter drying ear drops only if you do not have ear tubes, a perforated eardrum, or ear drainage

Apply a warm compress to the outside of the ear for comfort

Rest and avoid irritating the ear canal

Seek medical care if pain is severe, symptoms worsen, fever develops, hearing decreases, or symptoms do not improve within 1 to 2 days
