Complete Law of Agency
Complete Law of Contracts
Complete Promulgated Contract Forms
Complete Real Estate Finance
Submit your license application to TREC
Create an account with the Texas Real Estate Commission
Pay the application fee
Undergo a background check and fingerprinting
Receive eligibility approval from TREC
Pass the Texas real estate licensing exam
Schedule the exam with the testing provider
Pass the national and state portions of the exam
Find a sponsoring Texas real estate broker
Submit sponsorship information to TREC
Activate your license under the broker
Complete any required post-licensing or continuing education after licensing
