Open the YouTube video
Click the three dots below or next to the video
Select Show transcript
If Show transcript is not available, the video may not have captions enabled
Use the transcript panel to view or copy the text
On mobile, open the video menu and look for Transcript or Captions if available
If needed, use third-party transcript tools or browser extensions
You can also use YouTube Studio if you own the video and need the transcript from captions
