Bisque fire the pottery first
Clean the bisque ware to remove dust and grease
Choose the glaze type and mix it thoroughly
Wear appropriate safety gear
Prepare a clean glazing area
Apply glaze by dipping, brushing, pouring, or spraying
Keep glaze layers even and avoid overly thick application
Let each coat dry before applying another if needed
Wipe glaze off the bottom and any areas that should not be glazed
Check for drips, bubbles, or uneven coverage
Load the kiln carefully with glazed pieces separated
Fire the kiln according to the glaze manufacturer’s instructions
Let the kiln cool completely before unloading
Inspect the finished pottery after firing
