How To Go Live On Twitch?

Create a Twitch account at https://www.twitch.tv/signup

Enable two-factor authentication in Settings for added security

Confirm your account is in good standing and meet Twitch requirements to stream

Verify your email address

Install streaming software (OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or Twitch Studio)

Open your streaming software and go to Settings

In the streaming software, find the Stream/Output section

Copy your Twitch Stream Key from Twitch: Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream

Paste the Stream Key into your streaming software

Set your streaming server/region to your closest region

Set your streaming resolution and FPS (e.g., 1920×1080 at 60 FPS or 1280×720 at 60 FPS)

Set your bitrate in the streaming software (use Twitch-recommended settings for your resolution/FPS)

Run an audio check to ensure your microphone/game audio levels are working

Add sources in your scene (Display Capture or Game Capture, plus Audio Input Capture)

Test a short “preview” or low-stakes test stream if available

In your Twitch Creator Dashboard, choose whether to go Live as a test or public stream

Click Go Live in your streaming software or in Twitch Studio (depending on the tool)

Set a title, category, and stream tags in Twitch

Confirm the correct stream output is selected in your streaming software

Start the stream and monitor Twitch dashboard for bitrate/health

When finished, click Stop Streaming in your streaming software

End the stream and review the stream manager for any issues or settings adjustments
