Harvest thyme in the morning after the dew has dried
Use clean scissors or pruning shears
Cut stems just above a leaf node
Take no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Choose healthy, leafy stems
Avoid cutting into old woody stems
Harvest before the plant flowers for the best flavor
Rinse gently if needed and pat dry
Remove damaged or discolored leaves
