Put the rice in a microwave-safe bowl
Break up any clumps with a fork
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water per cup of rice
Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or damp paper towel
Microwave on high for 1 minute
Stir the rice
Microwave for another 30 to 60 seconds if needed
Stir again and check that it is heated through
Let it sit for 1 minute before serving
