Make sure fresh water is always available

Monitor for vomiting, bloating, lethargy, or loss of appetite
Do not give human laxatives or enemas unless a vet tells you to
Contact a veterinarian if constipation lasts more than 24 to 48 hours
Contact a veterinarian sooner if your dog is in pain, has blood in stool, or cannot pass stool at all
