Use the author’s last name and year: (Smith, 2023)
If there are two authors, use both last names joined by an ampersand: (Smith & Jones, 2023)
If there are three or more authors, use the first author’s last name followed by et al.: (Smith et al., 2023)
If the website has no author, use the title of the webpage in quotation marks: (“How to Cite Sources,” 2023)
If the website has no date, use n.d. instead of the year: (Smith, n.d.)
If you are quoting directly, include the page or paragraph number if available: (Smith, 2023, para. 4)
If no paragraph number is available, use a section heading and paragraph number if possible: (Smith, 2023, Methods section, para. 2)
For a corporate author, use the organization name: (American Psychological Association, 2023)
