How To Insert A New Column In Excel?

Select the column header to the right of where you want the new column

Right-click the selected column header

Click Insert

Or select a cell in the column where you want the new column

Go to the Home tab

Click Insert in the Cells group

Select Insert Sheet Columns

Or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + +

A new column will appear to the left of the selected column or cell
