Open your InDesign document
Go to File > Place
Select the image file
Click Open
Click or drag on the page to place the image
Use the Selection Tool to move or resize the image frame
Use the Direct Selection Tool to adjust the image inside the frame
Use Object > Fitting to fit the image to the frame if needed
