Turn off power at the circuit breaker
Verify the power is off with a voltage tester
Remove the existing light fixture or fan
Install a fan-rated ceiling electrical box if needed
Assemble the ceiling fan parts according to the manual
Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling box
Connect the fan wires to the house wires
Secure the wire connections with wire nuts
Attach the fan motor to the mounting bracket
Install the fan blades
Attach the light kit if included
Install the canopy and cover any exposed hardware
Restore power at the breaker
Test the fan and light functions
Tighten any loose screws if needed
